Poverty in America Conference

Join the FSU College of Social Work and the Institute for Human Studies at George Mason University on Friday, March 1, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for the "Poverty in America: Critical Perspectives on Causes, Effects and Possible Solutions."

Considered one of the richest countries in the world, the United State has more than 3.2 million people living in poverty. This conference explores the broad impacts of poverty on society (economic, social, cognitive and artistic) and possible resolutions to address it. The interactive format of this conference encourages dialogue among participants to explore collaborative problem-solving and critical feedback.
