Through rent-free housing and cooperative living, our client supports students who lack financial resources, demonstrate excellent academic merit, and exemplify good character attend institutions of higher education.
For more than 65 years, they’ve helped students achieve their dreams of attending their choice university. Their partnerships include Florida Gulf Coast University, University of Florida, Santa Fe College, Florida State University, Flagler College – Tallahassee, Florida A & M University, and Tallahassee Community College. While our client does not provide monetary based scholarships, they offer rent-free homes located near their partner institutions. They currently have 26 homes statewide and serve 470 students.
Reporting to the President/CEO, you will be responsible for building on a comprehensive fundraising and engagement program. You will be responsible for performing the following duties:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Business, Marketing, or related field and at least 5 years related fundraising experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent organizational and management skills, including a demonstrated ability to efficiently plan, organize, budget, and manage projects and events with limited direct supervision.
Team player with a strong work ethic and must lead by example with high regard to professionalism, integrity, and working with a sense of urgency.
Strong ability to build relationships with both new and existing donors.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
Familiarity with BlackBaud’s eTapestry is a plus.
CFRE designation preferred, or ability to obtain within 12 months of employment.
Occasional weekend and evening availability.
Minimum 2 years supervisory experience preferred.
Location: Tallahassee, FL. (During the COVID pandemic, some work may be performed remotely however in person office days will be required part of the week.)
